Liquid Boundary <> Narcissus is an interactive installation that explores the dissolution of boundaries between self and matter through water, reflection, light, and real-time sound.
The work stages an encounter between the viewer and a circular basin of water, framed by a minimal vertical aluminum structure. A camera captures the participant’s reflection in the water, and this visual input generates sound in real time. The image becomes unstable, fluid, and distorted, transforming the mirror into a living surface.
The installation investigates touch as a field of forces: light touching water, water touching skin, pixels touching sound. Through these small, partial connections, the work creates a space where self and material intra-act rather than oppose one another.
Liquid Boundary <> Narcissus produces a shifting, relational form, co-created by body, water, light, and algorithm.
